About CMB Addiction Treatment
Dedicated to healing lives through compassionate, evidence-based care
Our Story
CMB Addiction Treatment was founded in 2014 with a clear purpose: to create a treatment center in the East Bay where individuals struggling with addiction could find genuine, lasting healing. Our founders recognized that Hayward and the surrounding Bay Area communities needed a facility that combined clinical rigor with the warmth and personal attention of a smaller program.
What began as a modest residential center with a handful of dedicated clinicians has grown into a comprehensive treatment facility with 29 beds, 62 staff members, and a full continuum of care. Over the past 12 years, we have welcomed more than 4,500 patients through our doors, each one reminding us why this work matters.
Today, our campus on Tampa Avenue stands as a place of hope and transformation for individuals and families across Hayward, Oakland, Fremont, San Jose, and the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide accessible, compassionate, and clinically excellent addiction treatment to individuals and families in the East Bay and beyond. We are committed to meeting each person where they are and walking alongside them as they build a foundation for sustained recovery. At CMB Addiction Treatment, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to reclaim their life from substance use disorder.
Treatment Philosophy
We approach addiction treatment through a whole-person lens. Our philosophy is grounded in the understanding that addiction does not exist in isolation -- it intertwines with mental health, trauma, relationships, and life circumstances. That is why our programs integrate evidence-based clinical therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing with holistic practices including mindfulness, yoga, and art therapy.
Our treatment plans are individualized from day one. With a low patient-to-staff ratio made possible by our 62-member team and intimate 29-bed setting, we ensure that every person receives the focused care they need to build a strong, lasting recovery.
